A large group of Black activists who support the Second Amendment says they want the borders closed and want solutions on illegal immigration. They held a march in Austin, Texas, called the Second Amendment Unity Walk.
“Do not dare make the mistake in thinking you will get our vote simply because we believe in exercising our Second Amendment. Yes, I’m talking to you, Ted Cruz and Governor Abbott. Don’t think we are standing with you because we are against illegal immigration. We mean business today, and our business is tangible.”
According to the Twitter page of the Elmer Geronimo Pratt Gun Club, which includes nearly 800 followers and organized the event, the group was created for the advocacy of Black Americans who want to exercise their Second Amendment right.
This is the third year the gun club has held its event at the state’s capitol. The armed group also called for a hate crime bill to protect Black Americans as well as reparations.
