Bank of America starts off $25 million Negro Leagues Baseball Museum funding campaign

Bank of America has granted $1 million to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to fund their $25 million capital campaign for a new facility that will feature the stories of America’s Negro baseball heroes who overcame tremendous social challenges to play the sport.

The new museum will be built next to the Buck O’Neil Education and Research Center, where the Negro Leagues were established in 1920.

The special grant will enable the museum to expand programming, include interactive displays, and provide more extensive archival and storage space, among other upgrades.
