Black golfer Quinn Riley qualifies for 2023 Wells Fargo Championship

Quinn Riley, a rising star in the world of golf, has qualified for the prestigious 2023 Wells Fargo Championship. Riley, who was Duke University’s first African American golfer, received a special sponsor exemption from Wells Fargo to compete in this year’s tournament, which will take place this week at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This marks Riley’s third PGA TOUR start, and his success can be attributed in part to his participation in the Operating Partner Development Program offered by Ten Oaks Group, a Charlotte-based family office specializing in corporate divestitures. The program provides financial assistance for exceptional athletes like Riley, as well as practical business and investment training to prepare them for life after athletics.

With his impressive performance on the APGA Tour during the 2021-22 season and his history of winning events while playing for Duke, Riley is poised to make a strong showing at the Wells Fargo Championship.
