Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is in yet another racial controversy after comments he made involving Elon Musk. Musk recently showed his support for DeSantis in the upcoming presidential election. Although, so far, DeSantis has not officially thrown his hat into the ring for 2024.
In response, DeSantis said, “I’m focused on 2022. But with Elon Musk, what I would say is, you know I welcome support from African Americans.”
It’s important to note that Musk was born in South Africa but is white. The comments came under fire because of DeSantis’s push against critical race theory in public schools.
You may remember a few months ago, a few Black Republicans received criticism on social media after referring to Musk as an African American. Usually, the term is reserved for Black Americans.
