The U.S. Senate race in Georgia remains tight as former NFL Star Herschel Walker, the Republican nominee, takes on Sen. Raphael Warnock. Both Black men are in a dead heat. With the race being so close there is a possibility of runoffs if a candidate does not get a majority number of votes.
The race is unique given that the candidates from their respective parties are Black. Over the weekend, Black Republican Florida Rep. Byron Donalds joined Black Republican Rep. Burgess Owens from Utah to show support for Walker.
“The people on the other side of the aisle, they do not care about what you think. They do not care about how you choose to live your life. They only care about you doing one thing, and that’s bending the knee,” Donalds said.
According to a recent story in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a woman recently charged in the January 6th Capitol attack was named as one of Walker’s campaign captains.
