GOP Wave Moves To Trickle

Will there be a red wave during the midterm elections in just a few months? A new poll may show the wave may not be a big one.

According to the CBS News/YouGov poll, President Biden’s approval rating has risen 3% from July. The poll also shows Republicans are predicted to win only 226 seats in the House, down from 230 in July. To win control, Republicans need 218 seats.

As gas prices continue to decrease from record highs, views of the president’s handling of the economy are rebounding among Democrats. A couple of weeks ago, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell said Republicans most likely will not take control of the Senate, citing “candidate control” as an issue.

According to Roll Call, Pennsylvania and Ohio look better for Democrats. Georgia is also a critical battleground state for both parties.
