March Beside Us: Keke Palmer Urges National Guard To “March With Us” [VIDEO]

Singer, actress and TV show host Keke Palmer joined a George Floyd protest in Los Angeles this week urging the National Guard – who was sent to maintain order – to stand up for the community and march with protesters.

Her message came days after President Donald Trump tweeted, “when the looting starts, the shooting starts,” a message in which she believed went against what Americans are currently fighting for.

“You have a president talking about the Second Amendment as an excuse for people to come out here and use firearms against the people protesting,” she said, “This is the message that we’re seeing.”

“You have to pay attention to what’s going on. We have a president that’s trying to incite a race war, and when the borders are closed. We can’t leave. You have people in here that need your help,” she continued. “This is when you and y’all can stand together with the community, with society, to stop the governmental oppression. Period. We need you.”

In the video, one of the soldier’s agreed with Palmer, while another offered to take a knee in solidarity.

Palmer wasn’t the only celebrity to hit the streets to protest. John Boyega used his influence and voice for the cause…

So did Jamie Foxx, Michael B. Jordan and more!
