It is with great sadness that we report the death of Philadelphia musician Parris Bowens who passed away over the weekend at age 40.
Bowens, who is said to have been discovered by Tye Tribbett, was a staple not only in the Philadelphia music scene, but in gospel music across the board.
As a singer, producer and composer, Bowens went on to work with Musiq Soulchild, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Marvin Sapp, Vivian Green and many more.
Parris Bowens leaves his wife, Dionne, and two sons.
Our prayers are with his family, friends and fans.

@parrisbowens you are so missed and loved bro. I always had love and respect for you. You were the 1st person I saw do music on such a high caliber. Which inspired me that I can do the same. You did the music and help produce my 1st album. You encouraged me so much in the studio. pic.twitter.com/jmuMreKcAg
