According to a recent poll, most Black voters are pleased with the job President Joe Biden is doing, and they believe he should seek reelection in 2024.
In the first BlackTrack poll conducted by HIT Strategies since the 2022 midterm elections, 59 percent of Black voters say he should run again, and a decisive majority report they approve of his job performance at 74 percent.
These figures were released prior to Biden’s second State of the Union address on Tuesday. The support for Biden crosses generational lines, with 55 percent of voters under the age of 50 and 66 percent of those over 50 wanting the president to run for a second term.
Additionally, the study revealed that 51 percent of Black voters cited inflation and the cost of living as their top concerns. Racism ranked as the second most significant issue.
