Sheila Jackson Lee: Passing Voting Reactivation Act Crucial Against Oppressive Methods Used to Keep People from Voting

Rep. Jackson Lee worked to pass an enhanced Voting Rights Act in Congress and pushing for the Senate to pass the act under the name John R. Lewis Voting Enhancement Act. The Congress member is fearful oppressive police tactics recently used against protesters i Portland, OR could be used against voters waiting in long lines in November.

Rep. Jackson Lee goes on to share the struggle of her Texas district ravaged by COVID-19 and chides weak leadership from the White House, which is trying to curb testing while demanding schools reopen in the Fall.
