She’s back!
Grammy nominee and Billboard Music and NAACP Image Award- winning artist Koryn Hawthorne has released a new single ” Speak To Me” which will be on her new album available now for pre order. The 10-track album will be released on September 18.
Along with releasing of the new track, Hawthorne released a accompanying music video directed by Nathan R. Smith. “Speak To Me” conveys positive urban vibe. The track features a sample from gospel icon Donnie McClurkin’s popular single, “Speak To My Heart.” Once receiving McClurkin’s approval, Hawthorne expressed this heartfelt appreciation:
“I’m really grateful and honored Donnie allowed me to do this. This song is legendary for me. I grew up listening to and singing it with my mom. It’s a Gospel classic and that’s really dope. I’m really excited about this, it’s like his way of passing on the baton to me to continue on with Gospel music and where I’m taking it. I’m grateful he trusted he to do this.”
