White Supremacist Sentenced to Life in Prison for Killing of 10 Black Residents in Buffalo Supermarket Shooting

The 19-year-old gunman who carried out a deadly mass shooting at a buffalo supermarket last year has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. The judge who announced the sentence said his hateful ideology has no place in society.

The self-professed white supremacist recently pleaded guilty to state charges after the May massacre that left 10 Black people dead. Authorities say it was a racially motivated attack.

Before his sentence was administered, family members of the victims spoke out passionately. One family member attempted to rush the shooter. Officers quickly pulled him back as the defendant was taken out of the courtroom.
