“You’re Not Going To Be Shocked”: Forewoman Says Charges Recommended for Multiple People Connected Trump Election Probe

A forewoman of the Georgia special grand jury that investigated election interference by former President Donald J. Trump and his allies in Georgia says jurors have recommended indictments for several people on a range of charges in its final report. While the indictments are currently sealed, she spoke with the New York Times about the case.

The forewoman, Emily Kohrs, did not name the people recommended for indictment. But she did say it’s “not a short list.”

As to whether the jurors had to recommend or indict Mr. Trump, Kohrs would not answer directly but said, “You’re not going to be shocked. It’s not rocket science.”

Some of the report was released last week. In it, jurors said they saw possible evidence of perjury by one or more witnesses who testified before them. The 30-year-old said that it is “not going to be some giant plot twist.”

She also told the New York Times, “You probably have a fair idea of what may be in there. I’m trying very hard to say that delicately.”
