Executive Order Would Move Elderly Inmates to Transitional Housing to Combat Coronavirus

The NAACP is in support of the proposed Executive Order to transfer senior citizen inmates from correctional facilities due to the coronavirus.

There is a bill in the Senate, HR 2018, which would make President Trump’s Executive Order a law if passed by the Senate.  Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) supports the effort and plans to add it to the pending Coronavirus legislation.
