Honoring School Lunch Heroes

May 1 is National School Lunch Hero Day, honoring the thousands of workers who prepare breakfast and lunch for tens of millions of students who rely on school meals for daily nutrition and sustenance.

April Ryan speaks with Belinda Oakley, CEO of Chartwells K12, which employs 16,000 food service workers and feeds over 2 million children daily, about the challenge of relieving the strain on families who face food insecurity, and delivering thousands of meals weekly.
