Maryland Effort to Curb Coronavirus in Prisons

As states reopen in phases, the effort is to reopen the economy while controlling the number of new coronavirus cases. Maryland has partially reopened, and has seen a spike in cases.

April Ryan speaks with State’s Attorney for Baltimore Marilyn Mosby on efforts to keep the numbers of coronavirus cases down, particularly in jails and prisons by not prosecuting low level offenders. Some crime stats have dropped, and others have risen.
